Artist Statement
Like life, the process of making abstract art is an odyssey of both risk and discovery. As the complicated becomes simple and basic, one realizes that perhaps simplicity is the greatest risk of all. In art as well as in life, we journey alone through discovery. While although we may plan ahead, things may not turn out as intended as we negotiate various detours. Things just fall into place. I guess the finished product is what we call hindsight. In my hindsight, I can see how my thoughts and feelings create a type of sight picture to me. Rich oil pigments have become a means of conveyance for me, to merely create a type of simple reflection through the use of wonderful color combinations. It is truly my pleasure to share with you the beauties of abstract art.
